Elkhart, IN – The Elkhart Police Department gathered on the evening of March 20, 2026, to honor the life and service of Patrolman Doug Adams, who was killed in the line of duty 25 years ago.
First responders, including police officers and fire personnel, assembled near the corner of Main Street and Franklin Street in downtown Elkhart for the remembrance.
The gathering marked the exact time of Adams’ death on March 20, 2001, at 7:20 p.m.
